caramel and white chocolate ganache macarons & chocolate souffle!

made caramel and white chocolate ganache macarons on tuesday! they kinda got a little burnt cause whenever the shells were hard the insides were kinda soggy so i hate to re-bake thus burning the shell. DARN! oh and i made the caramel myself. YAYE! been so afraid to try it cause its so sensitive to temperature. overheating by like a minute could mean hard and sugar like caramel.. but i succeeded the second time! WOOTS!

macarons + nikkormat

i've had two obsessions recently: macarons and my new toy, nikon nikkormat ft3.

i've been obsessing about macarons recently cause the last three times i made macarons, i failed. i either got soggy macarons or cracked shells. anyhow, i'm blaming it on the weather. HAHA. you see, macarons are very tempremental. if its too humid, the batter gets soggy while you leave it out to air. i've been researching and hopefully i get to try baking it soon.

secondly, my nikon nikkormat ft3. okay, not mine. my dad's. and now, i'm claiming it as mine :P its super antique and pretty rare (i think) apparently, it was only produced from 1977-1979. i took my first roll of film today. it's quite tiring actually. cause its manual and all. i take like 3mins to adjust the shutter speed and the aperture and the focus and blah blah. i'll bring it to get developed tmr and upload the pictures from my first roll of film. (EGGCITING!)

today daph and i boarded an empty 151 bus. it was so weird cause it's not that cj is right after the bus terminal or anything. plus, no one boarded! at least until it reached our stop which was about 7stops from school! it was just daph, bus uncle and me. so we ran around taking pictures. HAHAHAHA! and before we alighted, we shouted "BYEEEE UNCLE!!!!" of course we made sure he opened the door first. scarly he dont let us off!!!! i think the bus uncle thinks we're crazy..
